2015 NATIONAL COACHING CONFERENCE

The United States Coaching Education Coalition (USOC, NCAA, NFHS, SHAPE America and NSCA) and the College of Physical Activities and Sport Sciences at West Virginia University held the 2015 National Coaching Conference June 10-12 in Morgantown, WV. The National Coaching Conference is the Coalition’s opportunity to bring together coaches, coach educators/developers and sport science researchers for the enrichment of coaching and sport.

The theme for the 2015 National Coaching Conference was Physical Literacy: the Launching Pad for Lifetime Athletic Development and Performance. The program focused on current research and practice models for optimal integration of athletic development for both participation and peak performance.

2016 National Coaching Conference

The United States Coaching Coalition (USOC, NCAA, NFHS, SHAPE America and NSCA) is pleased to announce the 19th annual National Coaching Conference (NCC), which brings together coaches, coach educators/developers and sport science researchers for the enrichment of coaching and sport. The 2016 conference will be held June 21-23 at the University of Washington's Husky Stadium in Seattle, marking the first time in its 19-year history that the NCC has gone west. The U.S. Coaching Coalition is excited to work with the University of Washington's Center for Leadership in Athletics in bringing the conference to the Pacific Northwest.

This year, the U.S. Coaching Coalition is very excited to offer a dynamic program full of a wide variety of presentations, invited keynotes and master classes which will facilitate discussion and help enrich the field of coaching education and coach development.

In addition to the exciting keynotes and panel discussions, this year's program includes traditional presentations in the form of 60 minute workshops and 15, 20 and 30-minute lectures. The popular Interactive Poster sessions that made their debut in 2015 are returning this year. In these sessions, authors display a traditional conference poster and participants have an opportunity to review the posters and interact directly with the authors. In a facilitated format, authors will also have 5 minutes to share their core message with the audience.
